The Denver housing market showed a record number of homes went under contract in June after 2 months of ‘stay at home’ orders according to the Denver Metro Association of Realtors. The number of homes under contract in June – 7,676 in an 11 county area. That is a 27.4% increase over June in 2019 and 16.3% higher than May 2020 (last month). Furthermore, the number of new listings in June was 7,364. So, as you can see there were more pending sales than new listings for the month of June and that lack of supply has pushed home prices higher for that 11 county region. The average price is now at $509,736 in June.
